Resumen:
The present work reports a chemical study of magnetites from stratiform deposits hosted in the Huitrín Formation, located at Colipilli area (Neuquén Basin). These studies were made in order to determinate its origin. Magnetite genetic discrimination diagrams (using major and trace elements) point out a hydrothermal affinity. This genetic definition provides valuable information for the characterization of the metallogenetic model in the Colipilli area.
