Resumen:
This work aims to the study of thecharacteristics of the dissipation by convection of asolid circular section of a diameter d in a fluid. Specifically, it focuses on the estimation of the transient heattransfer coefficient. It is assumed that the circularsection increases its temperature homogeneously overits whole surface from an initial temperature value 𝑻𝒂to the asymptotic temperature value 𝑻𝒎. A new approach is proposed to estimate the heat transfer coefficient in the transient state. Temperature and elasticity analysis were made on several numerical experiments to study the performance of the proposed estimation. Numerical research indicates that the proposed technique allows to obtain a more precise heattransfer coefficient than the usual one, which leads toa better estimate of the temperature profile in thetransient state.
