In this talk we will present the study of the thermodynamics of asymptotically AdS hairy black holes. In order to do that, we will evaluate the on-shell Euclidean action of GR in five dimensions with conformally coupled matter (consisting in a particular non-minimal coupling between the scalar field and the Riemann tensor). We will show, that at certain temperature the configuration with the scalar field is the preferred one. Notably, the scalar field configuration turns out to be regular everywhere outside and on the horizon. The example studied here provides a simple setup in which the fully backreacting problem of the condensation of an scalar field can be solved analytically.
