Resumen:
Polyhydroxybutyrate (PHB) is the most common polyhydroxyalkanoates and widely studied due to its good biodegradability and biocompatibility but its high cost and brittleness limits its applications. It is important to obtain a new material based on PHB, maintaining its excellent properties, but improving those that are not as good as their fragility and short processing window. Therefore, the preparation of nanocomposites could be promising to achieve PHB properties improvement. Nanocellulose (NC) shows a great variety of advantages such as extraordinary mechanical properties, reinforcing capabilities, low density, abundance and biodegradability [1].The aim of this research is to study the influence of NC on the PHB properties.
