The political subjects in decolonial theory

I will organize the exhibition as follows. First, I will review somepositions that I will call “difference.” There are also differentarguments among them, but they all start from pointing out theexistence of identities on the edges of the C/M/C and patriarchalsystem. In this section I will briefly incorporate not only the proposalon the colonial difference, but also others more anchored in a defenseof identities. In the following section I will recover the discussionaround the abandonment of universality as intended by the authors ofdifference in light of how the authors who propose transmodernity asa way out of the colonial, modern, capitalist and patriarchal systemunderstand it (C/ M/C/P). To do this, I will propose a comparisonbetween Dussel and Castro Gómez in order to understand that theyalso make different references regarding political subjects and theimplications regarding strategies. In the final discussion I will introducewhat seem to me to be contradictions or tensions in each of theperspectives, not to resolve them in this article but to point them outas a possible way to undertake future research.
