Pierre Auger Observatory

In this note we present the deployment procedure of the pre-UC 10 m2 AMIGA muon detector (MD). We installed seven MDs in an hexagon of infill stations and its center, in the AMIGA site. These MDs are buried ∼2.30 m to avoid the con- tamination of electromagnetic particles (gammas and electrons) that may produce muons over-counting. We also describe the logistics and transportation of the de- tector modules from the Observatory yard to the site, the burying procedure, and the installation of the access tube, the cabling and the power system.
