In the framework of process optimization, feedback information from the plant can be used to compensate for model uncertainty. The constraint-adaptation scheme uses the measurements of the constrained quantities at the current operating point to bias the constraints in the optimization problem. This paper presents two novel approaches for adapting the constraints. First, a correction of the constraint gradient norms given by the model is proposed in order to better predict the rateat which the constraints change their values. Next, a scheme that iteratively adapts the con-straint bounds is proposed in order to enforce convergence from inside the feasible region.
