Resumen:
Eta Carinae is the brigthest Luminous Blue Variable in the Milky Way and it is believed to contain a binary system with an orbital period of 5.5 years. In this work, we present the results of the 2006 observing season of our long term photometric monitoring campaign of Eta Carinae. The observations are made in the optic range, using a CCD camera and BVRI filters, attached to the 0.8-m Reflector telescope at La Plata Observatory, Argentina. In this season, the object has reached a maximum brightness of V = 4.65, increasing more than 0.5 magnitudes since 2003.
