Resumen:
The characteristics of poly-2-hydroxy-ehtylmethacrilate hydrogel microspheres for the controlled release of drugs were investigated using flutamide as a model drug. An o/w/o multiple emulsion technique was used for the preparation of hydrophobic drug loaded micropheres. The effect of drug loading on in vitro drug release was studied in this work. The diffusion of flutamide from the hydrogel matices was proportional to the square root of the time acording to the equation proposed by Higuchi.
