Gamma-ray emission from the microquasar LS I +61 303

The microquasar LS I +61 303 has been recently detected in high-energy gamma rays by the MAGIC telescope. The emission is variable, but the maximum does not correspond to the periastron passage of the compact object. We present a hadronic model for the primary gamma-ray emission that can account for the observed phenomenology.
