Resumen:
Objetive: The vasoactive intestinal pepetide (VIP) is produce by trophoblast cells and displays multiple target circuits that allow the tolerance to pregnancy-related antigens however its interaction with progesterone (Pg) it is unknown. Here we evaluated the immunomodulatory effects of Pg and VIP on the trophoblast cell function and their interaction with maternal immune cells. Methods: We used an in vitro model based on the Swan71 cell line co cultured or not with PBMC from fertile women and we evluated nitrites (by Griess Method), MMP9 (by Zymography). COX-2, VPACs expression (by RT-PCR). Phagocytic activity was cuantify usign latex-beads FITC-conjugated (esfferocytosis) or apoptotic red blood cells CFSE-stained (eryptosis) by FACS. Results: After the interaction between Swan cells and maternal PBMC in the presence of VIP (10-7M) and Pg (10-4M) decrease nitrites production, MMP9 activity and COX-2 expression (p
