“Rewriting trauma Psychology, political commitment and victimization in contemporary Argentina”

In this lecture I will address the role of psychology experts engaged in the struggles ofdifferent types of victims: the victims of human rights violations committed during themilitary dictatorships in Latin America and the victims of a fire at a concert venue inBuenos Aires in 2004 that left 194 dead and more than 3000 survivors. As part of theirpublic intervention, in both cases they pointed out that "waiting" for justice and'impunity' led to a re-traumatisation of the victims
