Search, description, identification, nomenclature and classification of transposable elements in the genome of tea. Characterization of 1 element of Class I LTR retrotransposons of the Copia superfamily, 2 nonautonomous LTRs and 10 of non-LTR retrotransposons of the SINE2/tRNA clade. Sequences with annotated features are deposited at the Repbase Update database (www.girinst.org).
