Search, description, identification, nomenclature and classification of transposable elements in the genome of Capsicum annuum. Characterization of 1 element of Class I LTR retrotransposons (nonautonomous LTR), 2 of Class I non-LTR retrotransposons of the SINE2/tRNA clade and 1 of Class II DNA transposons of the hAT superfamily. Sequences with annotated features are deposited at the Repbase Update database (www.girinst.org).
