Gama delta T cells development in the bronchus associated lymphoid tissue (BALT) of Wistar rats

In the present report we have analyzed the posnatal appearance of gama delta TCR T cells in the lamina propria (LP) and intraepithelium (IE) from BLAT of Wistar rats since 7 up to 60 days of age. This study demonstrated that: a) gama delta T cell population is present at 7 days of age increasing up to puberty folowed by a decrease in adult Wistar rats, and b) T cells expressing gama delta TCR outnumber cells expressing alfa beta TCR from 7 days up to 60 days of age.
