New species of Tomentella (Thelephorales) from the Patagonian Andes forests

The genus Tomentella forms abundant ectomycorrhizae in coniferous and deciduous15 forests worldwide. Molecular identification of root tips suggestsundescribed species in the16 Nothofagus forests of Patagonia, Argentina. Tomentella tenuissima, T. pulvinulata, and T.17 patagonica are here described as new based on morphological and molecular analyses. Their18 host range is addressed using available soil sequences.
