Resumen:
Packaged food is exposed to ultraviolet (UV) and visible light coming from sun and artificial light. Since exposure to these kinds of radiation is one of the main factors that contribute to food degradation, packaging material should provide a light barrier to reduce spoilage and extend product shelf life. In this sense, the analysis of light barrier films for food packaging has gained more interest [1]. The main factors that influence light barrier properties of flexible films are: thickness, polymer structure (principally its crystallinity), fillers type and concentration, among others. To analyze the influence of crystallinity of polypropylene (PP) films on light barrier properties.
