Resumen:
Brain-computer interfaces (BCIs) based on steady-state visual evoked potentials (SSVEPs) generally use flickering stimuli with different frequencies to generate multiple control commands. In recent years, the implementation of this paradigm has increased its popularity, mainly due to its high information transfer rates (ITR), low level of training required, easy implementation and low dependence of its responses on the different emotional states of the user. An interesting variant of this paradigm is obtaining multiple states after the use of a single-frequency flickering source, which is possible using electroencephalographic mapping techniques. Thus, these systems can detect the direction of the gaze with respect to the blinking source. This work proposes to objectively determine the degree of discriminability between the various states to identify which ones could be more easily differentiated and implemented with a smaller number of recording electrodes.
