Resumen:
The neurocognitive processing of emotions evoked by visual stimuli (based on the affective images) could involve internal structures of the brain. Currently, numerous studies suggest the possibility of studying the dynamics of such processing using non-invasive techniques, such as electroencephalography. The aim of this study is to analyze the temporal dynamics of brain oscillations evoked by pleasant and unpleasant emotional states in children. To do this, EEG signals were recorded during the presentation of affective images, to subsequently analyze them through estimates of desynchronization in the EEG beta and gamma band. The results show that emotional processing would be related to specific patterns of functional connectivity and the existence and lateralization of the differences between emotional responses for both valences.
