Resumen:
The purpose of the current project is to analyze the complex process of configuration of feminism that occurred in Argentina at the beginning of the 20th century, through the study of the position taken on these ideas by the National Council of Women created in 1900 in Buenos Aires. This association had a heterogeneous membership composed of conservative charitable associations, which coexisted with progressive educational and cultural spaces. For example, in 1903 there were 63 affiliated societies and 99 protective members. Despite different origins and interests of its members, the council constituted an important step to integrate the women of the country into an international | trannational network that had been forming similar entities in other parts of the world
