In this paper we will share the conclusions of various lines of research that are being developed at the Soria 2 site (Andalhuala, Southeast of Yocavil valley, Catamarca). The site is a residential unit composed of at least two rooms. Contemporary archaeological strata, dated circa 1940 ± 80 RCYBP, have been uncovered in both places. These have been interpreted as remains of an occupancy ground. Because of its age, the analysed context was ascribed to the Formative period of the Northwest of Argentina (ca. X B.C. to VI A.D.). The data published here are the product of various thesis and papers, and here we will intend to achieve a preliminary summary. We will focalize on information related to everyday practices carried out in the past, and their role at the reproduction of the material conditions of the household structure, like feeding, or the manufacture of diverse tools (ceramic, lithic, etc.). The authors subscribe to different theoretical positions, like phenomenology, behavioral ecology and historical materialism. We will attempt an integrative approach around the concept of Social Reproduction, understood as the causal nexus between practices and which gives some continuity to the relationships constitutive of a social totality.
