Resumen:
The study of vernacular architecture allows us to approach the knowledge of other concepts and practices of architecture and space. These concepts are, in many cases, dramatically different from Western architectural practices. To reach a grasp of these architectures is necessary to take distance from own professional concepts to understand buildings in their own interpretive frameworks. Ethnography, as a methodology, allows us to recognize the local points of view from which people conceive, produce and live their architecture.
