Resumen:
State actions towards the transformation of pastoral societies around the world have included the group of domestic architectures associated with the mobility of these groups, implying substantial changes in their material characteristics. This chapter will examine the transformations in pastoral domestic architectures in two communities in the high Andean lands of northern Argentina, where the authors have carried out their ethnographic work. This will reveal the sense of change in the context of long-term processes, in which the flexibility characteristic of pastoralist groups allows the generation of unexpected social and spatial responses to external actions.
