Resumen:
The forage legume Lotus tenuis is an appealing alternative to meet the needs forcattle production in the Flooding Pampa region, Argentina. The use of chemicalcompounds for agriculture practices, in addition to the removal of nativevegetation, eventually may change the diversity of soil  microbial components such as bacterial and fungal communities. To examine theeffect of  L. tenuis promotion with herbicides on the structure of soilbacetrial as well as fungal communities , we studied three different rangelandsites of the Flooding Pampa region. At each site, two paddocks were compared:one managed to promote the forage legume L.tenuis, and the other lacking of management history and hence, covered bynatural grasses.  We applied  454-FLX pyrosequencing technology of the V4region of the 16S rRNA gene (bacteria) and also the internal transcribed spacerregión ITS1-ITS2 (Fungi), on genomic DNA extracted from soil samples. Ourresults suggest a differential response between communities: while  5-6 years of land use with L. tenuis promotion modify the structureof soil fungal community, we did not find differences among treatments whensoil bacterial communities were analyzed.
