Resumen:
The rapid development of μTAS technology increasingly demands simulation tools to numerically prototype microfluidic devices. In fact, computational and analytical simulations allows one to test successive prototypes, as well as to perform a series of pseudo-experimental runs, thus reducing costs and time in the path from concept to chip. In this framework, here we present an application for a numerical model for the simulation of multidimensional electrophoretic separations in microfluidic devices previously developed. Numerical calculations were performed by using the finite element method (FEM) in order to numerical prototype a two dimensional electrophoresis (2DE) device.
