Sobre la posible existencia de un bulbo o núcleo de población II en la Nube Mayor de Magallanes

Based on recent results obtained with the Hubble Space Telescope, we present a census of genuine globular clusters in the Large Magellanic Cloud (LMC) and we examine their spatial distribution. Spectroscopic observations carried out at Complejo Astronómico El Leoncito (CASLEO, Argentina) allow us to add two new clusters (NGC 1928 and NGC 1939) to the list of genuine LMC globular clusters. We present evidence that old clusters projected on the LMC bar region may constitute a population II core, probably reminiscent of an ancient bulge, which together with a central disc could have evolved into the observed LMC bar by SMC and/or Galaxy interactions
