Resumen:
We present results obtained from CCD SDSS gr photome-try of SL 529, a poorly studied star cluster in the Large Magellanic Cloud(LMC). In order to measure g magnitudes and g − r colors, we have madeuse of images obtained with the Gemini South telescope and the GMOSattached. The resulting cluster color-magnitude diagram exhibits a MainSequence Turnoff (MSTO) region with an extended structure (age spread∼ 0.5 Gyr), which resulted broader than the previously known extendedMSTOs of LMC clusters. We estimated for the cluster a mean age of2.25 Gyr and a mean metallicity of Z=0.004, from which we concludethat SL 529 is the most metal-poor and oldest one within those withage-spread phenomenon. In addition, its Red Clump shows two concen-trations of stars, possibly caused, in part, by binary interactions andmergers. Finally, we derived a cluster core radius of 4.2 pc, which is inexcellent agreement with those determined for the previously 12 knownextended MSTO LMC clusters.
