Resumen:
Despite being a son of Jewish bankers in Hamburg at the turn of the 20th century, Aby Warburg renounced the family business with the intention of devoting himself to history from a completely new perspective: the transmission of ancient iconography in different cultures as well as the relationship between magic thought, art, science and religion. The Argentinean art historian José E. Burucúa, a confessed Warburian, explains how Warburg´s thought could help us to reflect on phenomena that seem to be strikingly dissimilar such as the Nazism and the figure of Evita, as it was understood by Montoneros, a well-known Argentinean guerrilla group during the 70s.
