Resumen:
Argentina is the third largest producer of maize in South America and the sixth in the world. S. zeamais and F. verticillioides are the primary pests that attack maize grains. Phenylpropanoids are interest alternative to synthetic pesticides. The aim of this study is to evaluate the insecticidal and antifungal activities of structurally related phenylpropanoids against maize pests through ?in vitro? contact bioassays. The most bioactive compounds against insects and fungus were: cianamaldehyde, α-bromo cinnamaldehyde and 4-phenyl-3-buten-2-one (LC50: 51.7 μg/cm2, MIC: 0.5 mM; LC50: 67.1 μg/cm2, MIC:
