Resumen:
The San Pedro and Oro del Sur ore deposits, located in Mendoza Province, Argentina, are porphyry copper genetically linked to Permian and Miocene volcanic rocks respectively. Both porphyries show a calcalkaline character and geochemical characteristics (particularly high Sr, low Y and Yb, high Sr/Y and La/Yb ratios) typical of adakite-like rocks. This adakitic signature is linked to the crustal thickening produced by the shallowing of the subducting plate
