High-mass stars form as a result of the fragmentation of massive molecular clumps. However, it is not clear whether such fragmentation gives rise to massive cores enough to form these stars or instead gives rise to cores of low and intermediate mass that form massive stars from competitive accretion of molecular clump material. This study presents a preliminary characterization of the internal structure of the massive molecular clump AGAL G020.746-00.092, and its surroundings, based on multifrequency observations at different spatial scales. We use high angular resolution and sensitivity ALMA data at band 6 complemented with data from the surveys MAGPIS (VLA), GLIMPSE (Spitzer), and ATLASGAL (APEX).
