Resumen:
Two modifications to the standard adaptive model-following con­trol (AMFC) algoríthm given in Landau (1979) are described. The first re­fers to the extension of the algorithm to consider measurable disturbance inputs in a feedforward adaptive fashion. The second ís related to the use of reduced reference models, which consider only the more important state variables. This enhances the possíbility of stability and perfect model­following (PMF) in linear systems, even if the number of manipulated vari­ables díffers from the number of state variables.
