Más allá de la Razón Liberal: desbordes, heterogeneidad y contradicción. Un estudio crítico de la perspectiva de los governamentality studies.

This article aims to analyze the reception of governmentality studies (GS) in Argentina, particularly with the so-called anglofoucauldians (AF). In this direction, we refer initially to the multiple "misunderstandings" involved in the local translation of the perspective under analysis. Secondly, in a more theoretical and general dimension, we address the limitations of the analytical of government understood in terms of a description of political rationalities. Building from this critique, we propose an alternative, although complementary, reflection on the discursive practices of government. In order to do so, we draw concepts and arguments from the materialist analysis of discourse. Finally, we conclude with some remarks regarding the South as a perspective from which to contribute to theoretical and conceptual discussion about the problems of government and governmentality
