Resumen:
The aim of this work was to present the preliminary results of a Sequential Extraction Procedure (SEP) applied to the loess sediments from two study sites in the Pampean plain of Argentina. It consists in a combined SEP methodology based on Keon et al. (2001) and Dold (2003) procedures. Since mobile arsenic is associated only with some mineral phases, this study was particularly focused on water soluble minerals, exchangeable ligands and strongly adsorbed arsenic phases. Results showed that the ?mobile? arsenic may come mostly from adsorption complexes formed on Fe oxyhydroxides surfaces.
