Resumen:
The scientific cooperation between CNR-IGAG and ICES-CNEA dates back to 2010 with a joint framework within the E-ICES 9 with the authorities Prof. Gian Maria Zuppi (IGAG) and Dr. José Ruzzante (ICES). Initially, the research collaboration lines were related to volcanism and seismography, going through the remediation of areas impacted by volcanic eruptions, and they currently involve phyto-mycoremediation and subsequent recovery of value-added elements from wastes within a circular economy model. Many of the Argentine-Italian collaboration research activities were carried out with the endorsement of the Argentine and Italian Embassies. Since 2012, scientific associations and exchanges have been promoted, research projects have been submitted for financing, and several research works have been published. The present work aims to value the phyto-mining line developed in the context of a circular economy model from proofs of concept (TRL1) to application protocols in a simulated environment (TRL 6). The study sites covered various mining sites in Argentina and India. The projects presented for funding such as RISE (MSCA Horizon EU), Laura Bassi (OGS, Italy), CNR (Italy), PICT (Argentina), SIIP Universidad de Cuyo (Argentina), TECO (EU, India), MAECI (Italy), MINCyT (Argentine), PID (Argentina) allowed us to develop research reflected in publications and in technological development. Currently, funding has been acquired to extend studies to Italian mines. Next work networks are aimed at public-private linkage to recover metals of economic interest from wastes of diverse origin.
