Metallicity and age analysis of SMC clusters

The metallicities of 15 Small Magellanic Cloud  (SMC) star clusters are determined from the Calcium II tripletlines in spectra obtained using FORS2 multi-object spectrograph on the VLT (Paranal, Chile). Clusterages are also determined from Color-Magnitude Diagrams built from  PSF photometry on the pre-images.The age metallicity relation (AMR) as well as age and metallicity distributions and gradients in the SMC are determined andanalized using the above mentioned information. Only the main results regarding these topics are presented and discussed.The AMR corresponds to the first relation made so far with homogeneous data using star clusters.
