Resumen:
Using Washington photometry, we determine linear radii, ages and metal- licities of NGC 2161, SL 874 and KMHK 1719, three unstudied star clus- ters of the Large Magellanic Cloud (LMC). These clusters were found to be intermediate-age ( 1 Gyr) and relatively metal-poor ([Fe/H] -0.7). By combining our results with others from the literature, we examine the age distribution of LMC clusters older than 1 Gyr. Two main cluster formation episodes were detected. The present cluster age distribution was compared to star formation rates analytically derived in previous studies. A detailed version of this work can be seen in Piatti et al. (2011).
