Resumen:
Durum wheat (Triticum turgidum L. var. durum) in Argentina is cultivated in the south of the province of Buenos Aires, where the elite germplasm in use was originated mainly by traditional materials from Europe and CIMMyT. Our group have a collection of 170 materials from different origins, like Argentina, Italy, Chile, France, CIMMyT, USA, Cyprus and WANA region (West Asia and North Africa), consisting mainly of spring and only one winter varieties (Figure 1). These materials were genotyped by using AFLPs and SNPs and phenotyped at five locations (see map, Figure 2 ) and different years giving a total of 10 environments evaluated (133 and 170 entries). Here we present a list of the varieties and its characterization (Table 1).
