Rate and time of GA3 application and irrigation on plant morphology and yield of lentil.

Plants of lentil were sprayed at two different times with fourth concentrations of GA3 under rainfed and irrigation conditions. GA3 had regulatory effect to enhance the plant height, number of branches, number of pods, 100-seeds weight and seed yield. 10 ppm of GA3 contributes to increase the yield increasing the percentage of pod with two seed and 50 ppm for a higher branching. Late spray of GA3 had better performance. On the other hand, irrigation conditions produced the highest plant height, number of pods, seed yield per plant, and seed yield, as compared to rainfed condition.
