Resumen:
NOTA: Este es el mismo trabajo que fue presentado en la XXIV Asamblea General de la IUGG, Italia, Julio 2007.Recent appearance of Earth Geopotential Models (EGMs), like EIGEN series for example, arisen from the space missions GRACE and CHAMP, have revolutionized the present Geodesy field as well as several applications related to it, since they represent a great improvement on the determination and modeling of the gravity field and, as a consequence, of the geoid. The Patagonia is a traditional area of exploration and exploitation of petroleum and minerals, and represents a particular interest for many disciplines like Glaciology, Mineralogy and Hydrology, among others. In this work, the behavior of the most recent EGMs derived from GRACE and CHAMP missions, together with the classic EGM96, is analyzed and compared in the Patagonia and the Mesopotamia, aiming to know which one fits better to this region of Argentina. In addition, in the present investigation, the differences between EGMs and geoid undulation values and gravity anomalies are studied.
