Resumen:
In the present study the South American species of Panicun subg. Phanopyrum sect. Laxa were analyzed usinf the methodology and terminology of TROLLS´s school. All the inflorescence studied are polytelic and not truncated, i.e. the main axis ends in a main florescence. In different degrees a certain tendency to homogenization can be seen in the diverse species. The species have an enrichment zone bellow the main florescence. The enrichment shoots are paracladia without trofotagma and with trofotagma. within the paracladial zone without trofotagma, a subzone of long paracladia and a subzone of short paracladia were observed. In the different species the primary long paracladia are variable in number and their degree of ramification. Generally, their arragement is alternate, but sometimes, primary long paracladia are opposite, subopposite or pseudoverticillate.
