Resumen:
A partir de la implementación del Mercosur en 1995 las exportaciones argentinas intrabloque crecieron hasta fines de la década. Con la devaluación brasilera de 1999 se hizo necesaria la búsqueda de nuevos mercados, por lo que en los años posteriores las exportaciones de quesos tuvieron fluctuaciones, pero de maneras diferentes. Este estudio analiza su competitividad en el mercado mundial con el uso de dos indicadores de amplia difusión: el Indice de Ventajas Comparativas Reveladas y el Indicador de Ventaja Relativa del Comercio.Since Mercosur implementation in 1995 the Argentine exports within the trade block grew till the end of the decade. With the Brazilian devaluation in 1999 it became necessary to look for new markets, so cheese exports fluctuated but in different ways. This study analyses their competitiveness in the world market with the use of two widely used indicators: the Revealed Comparative Advantage Index and the Relative Trade Advantage Index.
