Resumen:
Objective 1: We characterized temperature in summer and in winter in Argentina, based on Landsat 8?s Thermal Infrared Sensor (TIRS) Band 10 processed to orthorectified brightness temperature. We used six years of TIRS data for each season: May- August 2013- 2018 for winter, and Nov-Feb 2013- 2019 for summer. For relative temperature, on each image we used a 11 x 11 moving window to derive mean value for central pixel, then took median value across the image stack. For thermal heterogeneity, we first derived standard deviation within an 11 x 11 pixel moving window on each image, then took median value across the image stack. Objective 3: We have compiled spatial data on 35 mammals, mammal, 130 birds, and 59 plant speciesObjective 4 : We are compiling data that will comprise a map of the human footprint.
