Resumen:
Expanding on our prior success in northwest Argentina, our goal is todevelop forest resilience and biodiversity distribution maps for all272,000 km2 of forests in Argentina, and to provide these maps tonational- and province- level policy makers.Objectives:1. Identify forests at high risk from climate variability.- Characterize inter-annual temporal variability and spatial variabilityin land surface temp and phenology.2. Map forest types based on phenology and image texture.3. Model habitat of ≥ 125 species and habitats of restricted range orconservation concern and forest specialists.4. Assess threats to biodiversity, using map of human footprint.5. Advance sustainable forest management in Argentina?s forests.
