Resumen:
The anthropological study of the local meteorological conceptions is a privileged point of view to question climate definitions often used when referencing the called non-western communities. In this work we attempt to understand the relationship between peasant and indigenous communities from south Andean regions and the whirlwind in their daily life. Based on our own ethnographic experience, historical and local literature we try to apprehend, this diffuse but constant, link between whirlwind and some harmful entities, as the diablo (devil).
