Resumen:
Moriconi, J.I.; Fernández, E.A.; Martínez, E. and Giulietti, A. 2009. Yield of matter dries and composition of the essential oil of Lippia turbinata Griseb. “poleo” (Verbenaceae), in plants ofSan Luis (Argentina). Horticultura Argentina 28(65): 34-38.Lippia turbinata is a native shrub used in popular medicine and the food industry. Plants produced in a laboratory culture started in Juana Koslay (San Luis), on two conditions: 1- Dryand 2 Irrigation + organic fertilization. We determined dry matter yield (MS) and composition of essential oil (AE). In 2004 and 2006 was measured by length of branches and MS was determined. In December 2005, with leaves and branches of cultivated plants and wild plants, the determination of the quali-quantitative AE by CG-FID-MS was determined. In MS yield, there are no significant differences between crops in both courts. In the EA shows that the most representative compounds are: cis-a-Bisabolene, limonene, b-caryophyllene, germacrene D. Not found lippiona or dihidrolippiona considered filetic markers in poleo. There is great variability in the composition of AE of the species, according to the residence and the care they receive plants.Additional keywords: crop, production, aromatic plants, native plants.
