Resumen:
This research notebrings to light an Afro-Argentine magazine previously unknown to scholars, highlighting the publication’s key features and raisingquestions for future research.  Thisillustrated bi-weekly magazine offers fresh perspective on the Black press fora period that has remained under-explored.  It is a vital source for contesting enduringideas of Afro-Argentines’ waning sociability, providing a rare glimpse into howAfro-Argentines negotiated their positions as Argentines and Latin Americans“of color” at a time when their collective non-existence was entrenched in thenational imaginary, and when anti-Black racism was at an apex.
