Thisillustrated bi-weekly magazine offers fresh perspective on the Black press fora period that has remained under-explored. It is a vital source for contesting enduringideas of Afro-Argentines waning sociability, providing a rare glimpse into howAfro-Argentines negotiated their positions as Argentines and Latin Americansof color at a time when their collective non-existence was entrenched in thenational imaginary, and when anti-Black racism was at an apex.
