Resumen:
SiO2-Cr2O3 pillared Argentinean montmorillonites were prepared by intercalation of oligosilsesquioxanes doped with Cr (III) ions. The basal spacing developed by intercalated materials was 17.0 Å was observed showing that long-range ordering along the c axis was loss. However a fraction of the material was still expanded as shown by the specific surface area of 200 m2/g measured under these conditions.
