The purpose of the panel is to discuss existing financial schemes having a direct or indirect effect on the reduction of inequalities (of income and opportunities). The panel will also aim to place these schemes and others with similar aims into the broader context of the securitization of human capital. It is expected that the discussions will be helpful in developing a new avenue of research on these important issues.
