The study of Masonry is complex in its research phase. In this sense, a rigurous critical selection of studies on the history about the topic has to be done. In this article we tackle some historiographical perspectives around the research of Masonry in Argentina and, mainly, in national Southern regions of the country. We center our focus in those theoretical axes which tackle the issue from a critical and academic perspective which, far from concentrating on mystical or ritualistic components, intend to recover other elements of the study of Masonry, for instance, its historical and socio-political aspects.
